Citrus Caramel-laced Lady Fingers The fruit component. Mascarpone Whipped Cream, need I say more?

Citrus Caramel-laced Lady Fingers

I know that making a citrus caramel may sound intimidating, but I am going to share with you how to make it quick and easy in a non-stick skillet.

The fruit component.

Try strawberry with thinly sliced basil leaves over the top or blueberry and blackberry with a sprinkle of mint. You quite literally cannot go wrong!

Mascarpone Whipped Cream

The more savory flavor of the rich mascarpone whip will help cut through the cloyingly sweet citrus caramel.

- granulated sugar -  water - finely grated orange zest - freshly squeezed orange juice - mascarpone cheese - heavy cream - powdered sugar - pinch of coarse kosher salt - gluten-free ladyfingers - fresh fruit combination of choice, pitted and or sliced if needed
