Kick back and relax while you sip on the sensationally tart meets sweet flavor combination of our California Blueberry Lemonade.
2 cups fresh California blueberries
2 cups water
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup sugar; you can use up to 1/2 cup sugar if you prefer a much sweeter syrup.
3/4 cup Blueberry Syrup
One batch of California Grown Lemonade.
In a medium-sized saucepan, cook the blueberries, water, sugar, and honey for 15 minutes over medium heat.
Strain the solids from the liquid.
Cool completely, then store in an airtight, food-safe container like a glass jar.
Combine the desired amount of Blueberry Syrup and one batch of lemonade in a large pitcher. Stir to combine.
Add fresh or frozen blueberries, ice, and sliced lemon to the pitcher, and serve immediately.
If making in advance you can combine the desired amount of syrup and lemonade, then store it in the refrigerator. When ready to serve, garnish with berries, ice, and lemons until right before serving.
This syrup recipe makes enough to make 4-5 batches of Blueberry Lemonade.
