Ingredients

Scale

For the rosemary simple syrup

  • 1 cup turbinado sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 large sprigs rosemary

For the fresh Concord puree

  • 1 pound Concord grapes, seedless if you can find them
  • 1/4 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice

For the cocktail

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 1/4 ounce fresh concord puree
  • 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 ounce rosemary simple syrup
  • ginger beer
  • rosemary sprigs for garnish

Instructions

Make the rosemary simple syrup:

Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the sugar melts completely. Remove from the heat and add the fresh rosemary sprigs into the syrup to steep while it cools.

 Make the puree

Combine the grapes and the lime juice in a high powered blender and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh strainer.

Make a Rosemary Concord Grape Cocktail

Combine the vodka, grape puree, lime juice, and rosemary simple syrup in a glass. Stir to combine. Add ice. Fill to the top with  ginger beer. Garnish with a fresh sprig of rosemary if desired.

Notes

This recipe makes enough puree and rosemary syrup for multiple cocktails, just store leftover ingredients in the refrigerator until ready to use.
