This Roasted Strawberry Syrup is not only an incredible addition to your brunch dishes like French Toast, but it also is great in winetails.

Ingredients

Scale

6 cups strawberries, quartered if large

1/4 cup honey

juice of ½ a Cara Cara or Naval orange, approximately ⅓ cup

Instructions

How to make Strawberry Syrup

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F

In a large bowl, mix the strawberries, honey, and orange juice together. Spread the strawberries evenly onto a large baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.

Separate the roasted berries and store for another use, like topping Strawberry French Toast, ice cream, or just eating as-is. They're so good!

Store the syrup in a separate container and use it anywhere syrup is called for. This syrup will keep in the fridge for up to 1 week.

How to make a Roasted Strawberry Winetail

Add 2-3 tablespoons of Roasted Strawberry Syrup to the bottom of a flute glass. Top with chilled Sparkling wine from California. Serve immediately.
