Patriotic Jello Cake

Looking for a no bake dessert with a little patriotic flare? Try this layered Patriotic Jello Cake that will be loved by kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

2 small (3-ounce) boxes Strawberry Jello

2 small (3 ounce) boxes Berry Blue Jello

1 box (4-packages) Knox unflavored gelatin 

1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

whipped cream for serving if desired

Instructions

Set aside an ungreased 9x13 -inch glass baking dish.

White Layer:

Mix 1 envelope Knox gelatin with ½ cup hot water until dissolved. Add 7 ounces of condensed milk (½ of a can) and an additional ½ cup hot water. Once cooled pour half of the milk mixture over the bottom of the pan and refrigerate 30 minutes or until firm.

As soon as you put the milk layer in the fridge, make the Berry Blue Jello layer so that it will have time to cool on the countertop before pouring over the white layer.

Blue Layer:

Mix 1 package of Berry Blue Jello with 1 teaspoon Knox gelatin and 1 cup boiling water. Set aside to cool on the counter while the white layer sets.

Pour into the glass baking dish; refrigerate, uncovered,  30 minutes or until until set. 

White Layer:

Pour the remaining milk mixture over the set Berry Blue Jello and refrigerate 30 minutes until set. As soon as you put the milk layer in the fridge, make the Strawberry Jello.

Red layer:

Mix 1 package of Strawberry Jello with 1 teaspoon Knox gelatin and 1 cup boiling water. Cool on counter until white layer chills for 30 minutes and is set. 

Pour into the glass baking dish over white layer; refrigerate, uncovered,  30 minutes or until until set. 

White layer:

Poor half of the milk mixture over the red layer and chill for 30 minutes or until set. While the milk layer chills make the next blue layer.

Blue layer: 

Mix 1 package of Berry Blue Jello with 1 teaspoon Knox gelatin and 1 cup boiling water. Set aside to cool on the counter while the white layer sets.

Pour into the glass baking dish over the white layer; refrigerate, uncovered,  30 minutes or until until set. 

White layer:

Pour the remaining milk mixture over the set Berry Blue Jello and refrigerate 30 minutes until set. As soon as you put the milk layer in the fridge, make the Strawberry Jello.

Final red layer:

Mix 1 package of Strawberry Jello with 1 teaspoon Knox gelatin and 1 cup boiling water. Cool on counter until white layer chills for 30 minutes and is set. 

Pour into the glass baking dish over white layer; refrigerate, uncovered,  30 minutes or until until set. 

Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or up to overnight before slicing and serving. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
