Everyone will adore this ravioli bake recipe! It has melted mozzarella, Parmesan, and a wonderful sauce all baked to perfection. Add cooked ground beef if you are serving meat eaters or leave it out for a vegetarian Ravioli Bake.

Ingredients

Scale

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 (13-ounce) bags frozen, cheese-filled ravioli

2 (24-ounce) jars of your favorite marinara sauce or you can use my easy homemade marinara recipe to make your own.

1 pound cooked ground beef, if desired.

2 cups shredded mozzarella

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Chopped basil and parsley to serve.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350F and grease a medium-sized baking dish, we used a 9 x 9-inch square baking pan, with olive oil.

Spread 1/2 cup of marinara over the bottom of the dish.

Layer the frozen ravioli on top of the sauce filling the whole bottom of the pan.

Sprinkle 1/3 of the cooked meat if using, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, another cup or so of marinara, and another layer of ravioli.

Continue to layer in this fashion until all of the ingredients have been used, ending with a top layer that is a combination of the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

Cover with foil tightly and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 until the sauce is bubbling and the ravioli is warmed through.

To achieve a blistered top with a bit of crispy cheese and ravioli around the edges simply turn on the broiler for 2-3 minutes and watch closely for the top to become slightly blistered and perfectly golden.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving with parsley and basil.
