Everyone will adore this ravioli bake recipe! It has melted Mozzarella, Parmesan, and my homemade 5-ingredient marinara sauce. It's basically a cheaters lasagna that comes together fast on hectic weeknights, using only a handful of ingredients that you probably already have on hand.
Even on the busiest of nights, this easy weeknight dinner is possible thanks to store-bought frozen cheese ravioli and premade sauce. It can even be assembled beforehand and stored in the fridge for easy baking when you are ready.

What makes this Ravioli Bake recipe so easy?
When I tell you that this is the simplest way to prepare a delicious meal, I'm not kidding. You don't even need to thaw the frozen ravioli before assembling this lasagna-style meal.
Unlike more traditional recipes that require you to blend together ricotta and other cheeses with herbs and spices, this recipe calls for premade frozen cheese ravioli. This means the laborious, and often messy, task of par cooking lasagna noodles is a thing of the past too.
Ingredients for This Ravioli Bake
Ravioli: Any kind will do here! I use a store-bought frozen ravioli that is gluten-free and filled with four-cheeses, omitting the need for adding any ricotta myself. But ravioli with meat and spinach filling are other delicious options that are worth a try too!
Sauce: I use my Simple & Delicious 5-Ingredient Marinara Sauce Recipe to take this ravioli bake recipe up another level, but you can use any sauce you want!
Mozzarella & Parmesan Cheese: When baked, Mozzarella is wonderful and melts to perfection. But, I adore the flavor that a bit of Parmesan brings to this meal.
Chopped Basil & Parsley: Basil has a unique flavor and is lovely and aromatic, while parsley has a clean, peppery taste with a hint of earthiness. They are the ideal garnish for this ravioli bake recipe!

Fresh versus frozen ravioli?
You can actually use either type of premade ravioli. However, the frozen ravioli bake will require a longer amount of time in the oven than one made with fresh raviloi.

Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 (13-ounce) bags frozen, cheese-filled ravioli
2 (24-ounce) jars of your favorite marinara sauce or you can use my easy homemade marinara recipe to make your own.
1 pound cooked ground beef, if desired.
2 cups shredded mozzarella
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Chopped basil and parsley to serve.
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350F and grease a medium-sized baking dish, we used a 9 x 9-inch square baking pan, with olive oil.
Spread ½ cup of marinara over the bottom of the dish.
Layer the frozen ravioli on top of the sauce filling the whole bottom of the pan.
Sprinkle ⅓ of the cooked meat if using, ½ cup of mozzarella cheese, another cup or so of marinara, and another layer of ravioli.
Continue to layer in this fashion until all of the ingredients have been used, ending with a top layer that is a combination of the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
Cover with foil tightly and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 until the sauce is bubbling and the ravioli is warmed through.
To achieve a blistered top with a bit of crispy cheese and ravioli around the edges simply turn on the broiler for 2-3 minutes and watch closely for the top to become slightly blistered and perfectly golden.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving with parsley and basil.
