    Hands down, the best Christmas Cocktail has to be this Fruitcake Rum & Coke. Fruit-forward with just enough fizz to tickle the nose, this cocktail is one that my husband and I look forward to every year.

    {{This Christmas cocktail recipe & post were made in partnership with California Prunes. We received compensation in exchange for it. Opinions are always our own. Thank you for your continued support of our small business!}}

    Booze being poured over dried fruit to soak for fruitcake.

    My grandfather's love of baking fruitcake cookies during the holiday season led to the discovery of one of my husband and I's favorite holiday treats, Fruitcake-infused rum.

    Ingredients needed to make the best Christmas Cocktail:

    You really don't need much to make this delicious Christmas cocktail. You will definitely need a batch of Fruitcake Rum. And you will also need a bottle of fizzy cola.

    I guess the only question is....do you want to make a BIG BATCH of Fruitcake infused rum or a small batch?

    Big Batch Fruitcake Infused Rum

    I am unapologetic about what I am about to say; I think that the best part of any fruitcake recipe is the boozy fruit-filled liquid that is the result of soaking all of the delicious dried fruit to make a fruitcake. There, I said it and I don't feel bad about it, not one bit!

    Small Batch Fruitcake Craft Cocktail Kit

    These kits are made with dried fruit, dried edible flowers, whole spices, dehydrated citrus, and sugar cubes measured out into perfect portions for infusing with the recipient’s favorite alcohol.

    Step-by-step how to make the easiest Christmas cocktail; Fruitcake Rum & Coke

    Now that we've covered how to make your very own large or small batch of Fruitcake-infused rum let's talk about how to make the most festive Rum & Coke! Todd and I both agree, this cocktail will forever remain a holiday tradition in our house.

    Add 1.5 - 2 ounces Fruitcake infused rum to a cocktail glass with ice.
    Fill to the rim with ice cold fizzy cola.
    Serve with a garnish of your choice of skewered dried fruit.

    If you’ve given this Christmas cocktail a try I would be so grateful if you would rate the recipe with a star rating and let me know what you think in the comments below!

    I just love hearing from you! Your reviews and comments really help others that visit This Mess is Ours.
