Hello there!  My name is Sarah and I love to bake...gluten free!  I share all of my most favorite recipes and baking adventures over at Sarah Bakes Gluten Free Treats.  From cakes, to cookies, to breads, to muffins.  All of my recipes are gluten free, and you'll find dairy/egg free goodies too.  I am so excited to be sharing my top 3 recipes on (insert your blog) for the 2012 Gluten Free All-Star Recipes event.  So fun!

    Journey to Gluten Free

It's been quite the journey.  Let's see, it all started almost years ago when my husband was diagnosed with celiac disease.  Our life was turned upside down!  Neither of us were familiar with eating a gluten free diet.  To change it up even more, I also found out that gluten was one of the culprits for my life-long gut issues (you can read more about my story here and here) as well as for my son.  Good to find answers, but so overwhelming.  How was I going to ever bake again?  I was always the girl who brought a plate of brownies or yummy cupcakes to every party or get-together.  I now had to completely change my mindset not only as the cook for my family, as well as a baker.  It sparked a fire in me and I was quite determined!.  I knew that changing over to gluten free was not going to stop me from baking chewy oatmeal chocolate chip cookies!

Now when it comes to gluten free baking, I have no fear!  It wasn't easy getting to this place, but it was worth every trial and error.  It was on my heart for some time, to have a place where I could share my gluten free baking adventures with all of my family and friends...and those who are scared to try baking gluten free.  With only starting my blog up 6 months ago, I believe I'm the newby of the group.  It has been a wonderful adventure, I must say!  There are some pretty awesome gluten free bloggers out there, who have been so supportive and encouraging.  It is just so wonderful to be a part of this beautiful gluten free community...such a blessing!

Sarah Bakes 2012 Gluten Free All Star Recipes

Now onto the top recipes on Sarah Bakes Gluten Free Treats...are you ready?  We have the ever-so-popular Gluten Free Dinner Rolls, super easy Pumpkin Spice "Ice Cream", and the best Gluten Free Chocolate Cupcakes.  They seem to not only be well loved on the blog, but on pinterest too.  Our family favorites might just become yours too!

    Gluten Free Dinner Rolls

Light, fluffy, and oh so delicious.  Can gluten free rolls really be this good?  I added both psyllium husk and flaxseed meal to these little beauties.  The yogurt makes them tender and moist.  My daughter said, "I could eat these everyday!"  Perfect gluten free rolls.  They do exist!  You can find the recipe here.

    Pumpkin Spice "Ice Cream"

Pumpkin being one of my all time favorite ingredients, I am quite fond of this frozen treat.  Bananas, pumpkin puree, and pure maple syrup.  Dairy and refined sugar free!  The addition of cinnamon and nutmeg give it that pumpkin pie taste we all love.  There is no need to count calories with this ice cream. You can find the recipe here.

    Gluten Free Chocolate Cupcakes

I've saved the best for last!  I don't know how many times I've made these chocolate cupcakes...way too many to count.  I started making these cupcakes before baking gluten free, and knew I had to alter the recipe so we could still enjoy them.  I tried them out with my gluten free flour blend (you can find here) and they were perfect!  The BEST recipe for gluten free chocolate cupcakes.  Moist, chocolatey, and just so wonderful.  These cupcakes are topped with the most divine chocolate buttercream, which can be made dairy free.  Perfect for any celebration!  You can find the recipe here.
