Ok, so I probably should have posted this on the Sunday before New Year's, but I was exhausted from our cross country traveling and was packing bags for yet another road trip to see my family in Alabama. So for what it's worth, here it is...
We had so much fun visiting our family and friends in California over the holidays, one of the highlights was our tour of the floats being built for the Rose parade on New Year's Day. It was amazing to see so many people come together and volunteer of their time to help put on such an amazing show. The floats were bigger than I could have ever imagined and the work of covering them more tedious than I could have fathomed. Our daughter has asked to volunteer next year and Todd and I think it will be a really amazing family experience for all of us.

I remember working on those floats when I was a kid in the 80's with my parents. It was fun and interesting, but probably more interesting now a days.
