Being a child of the south, I am no stranger to the combo of a chicken and waffles recipe! Honestly, I can't think of a better brunch to treat yo'self with on the weekends.
Ever since Kash first tried chicken and waffles he has been obsessed! I started sending this combo in his lunch box last year when he was in kindergarten and it quickly became an almost weekly lunch box request from him. He really loves that combination of savory and sweet flavors just like me!
The hardest parts of this chicken and waffles recipe can be made ahead of time, making it a super time saver!
This lunch box comes together super quick, I simply bake the tenders the night before so that they have plenty of time to cool then pop the waffles in the toaster right before I'm ready to start packing. Trust me, your kids won't be disappointed with this lunch!
